At WWDC 2023, Apple introduced their new addition to the MacBook Air family – the 15-inch model. Considered as the thinnest laptop of its size worldwide according to Apple, it’s accompanied by the existing 13-inch version. It includes a retina display with enhanced illuminance at up to 500 nits and is able to exhibit one billion colors.
As it claims to be “the world’s best 15-inch laptop”, this fresh variation of MacBook Air has dimensions of only 11.5mm thickness, beating all competitors in terms of thinness and lightness as it weighs just under 1.5kg. The company claims that its weight is half a pound lesser than some high-performing Intel Core i7 PC laptops on the market today.
MacBook can provide a maximum of eighteen hours battery life after full-charge with an M2 chip powering both models (8-core CPU for processing plus a Neural Engine consisting of sixteen cores).
Moreover, two USB-C Thunderbolt ports are present, along with MagSafe charging port for select devices equipped with MagSafe connectors and a headphone jack compatible with multiple device types.
This new sleek laptop from Apple comes in four color options- space grey, starlight, midnight, or silver which command from $1,299 (education price you can buy for $1,199) per piece onwards starting immediately when deliveries commencing next week.
In India, you can also pre-order your MacBook Air M2 online or through authorized resellers at ₹134990/- while students pay an affordable ₹124990/-.
